Our Fabrics

At COMMON NOVA, fabric selection is at the heart of our conscious manufacturing process. We carefully choose materials that offer both impeccable aesthetics and optimal comfort while minimizing environmental impact. We are committed to promoting fair trade practices throughout the fabrics industry, ensuring that everyone involved, from farmers to factory workers, is paid fairly and works in safe conditions. We source our fabrics exclusively from vendors who support these ethical practices.

  1. Cotton:
    At COMMON NOVA, we use premium cotton known for its strength, absorbency, and comfort. Our cotton garments are crafted to be durable wardrobe staples, designed for frequent wear and longevity. The breathable fabric softens with each wash, aging beautifully and enhancing your wearing experience.

  2. Organic Cotton:
    Organic cotton, grown without harmful pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, is a cornerstone of our commitment to the planet. Our organic cotton fabrics are chemical-free, eco-friendly, skin-friendly, and incredibly soft to the touch. With enhanced durability, organic cotton offers a long-lasting and economical choice for your wardrobe.

  3. Recycled Polyester:
    Polyester is a popular material known for its lightweight, water-repellent, stain-resistant, and wrinkle-free qualities. At COMMON NOVA, we incorporate recycled polyester to deliver the same functional benefits while reducing environmental impact. It’s perfect for everyday formal wear and athleisure, without compromising sustainability.

  4. Lyocell/Tencel:
    Made from wood pulp, Tencel fibers are renowned for their super-soft feel. We blend Tencel with other fibers like cotton and recycled polyester to enhance fabric aesthetics and functionality. Its superior strength, moisture-wicking capabilities, and gentleness on the skin ensure comfort and style in our garments.

  5. Elastane/Spandex/Lycra:
    We add 2-5% elastane to select shirts and trousers for added stretchability. This ensures greater comfort, flexibility, and ease of movement. Recognized for its essential role in the clothing industry, elastane provides an enhanced range of motion, making our clothing adaptable to your active lifestyle.

Fabric Weaves

Weave refers to how threads are arranged during fabric manufacturing, determining both the aesthetics and functionality of the cloth. COMMON NOVA employs various weaves to deliver a unique experience in each garment.

  1. Poplin/Plain Weave:
    The simplest and most versatile weave, featuring a criss-cross pattern, forms a strong, durable cloth with high density. This weave offers stability and is ideal for everyday wear.

  2. Twill Weave:
    Twill weaves create a diagonal pattern, producing strong, durable fabrics like those found in denims and overshirts. Twill's thickness makes it naturally wrinkle-resistant, while the diagonal lines help conceal dirt and stains. It also provides a smooth drape.

  3. Sateen Weave:
    This weave is distinguished by floating yarns that give the fabric a lustrous finish. The smooth, soft feel of sateen makes it perfect for dress shirts and formal pants, adding a touch of luxury to your wardrobe.

  4. Oxford Weave:
    The Oxford weave's basket-weave pattern creates a thicker, textured fabric with a two-tone color appearance. Known for its durability and warmth, it's perfect for casual button-down shirts, ideal for cooler weather.

  5. Dobby Weave:
    The dobby weave creates intricate geometric patterns, adding texture to fabrics. These small, raised designs give our garments a unique, stylish look, making them perfect for dresses, suits, and blouses. Dobby-weaved fabrics often feature two contrasting colors to highlight the patterns.

Dyeing
We are proud to use only Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified natural dyes that are safe for the environment and provide beautiful, lasting colors.

Interlining
To ensure a crisp, structured look, we use 100% cotton interlining in shirt collars, cuffs, plackets, and in the waistbands of casual and formal trousers.

Other Trims
Our wash care and neck labels are made from recycled polyester. The branded leather ID hand-sewn onto our garments is crafted from corn paper or recycled leatherite and can be easily removed by the wearer.

Exchange and Return Policy

We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. Our 5-day return policy allows you to request a return within 5 days of receiving your item.

To qualify for a return: The item must be in the same condition as received, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Eligibility:

  1. In case you have received a damaged product the company will provide a free replacement but an unboxing video is mandatory to avail of that free replacement of the damaged product.
  2. In case of return, there will be Rs. 400/- shipping charges.
  3. One exchange will be free and more than one exchange company will charge extra Rs. 400/- shipping charges.

We strive to ensure that the products you receive match the descriptions and images provided on our website. However, please note that due to the subjective nature of individual preferences and opinions, we cannot accept returns solely based on aesthetic preferences or subjective judgments of appearance. Rest assured, the products you receive will be identical to those showcased on our website in terms of functionality and specifications. Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests are accepted only within 12 hours of order placement. No cancellations will be entertained once the orders are shipped and confirmed over the call. 

Refund Process:

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you of the refund status. If approved, the refund will be automatically issued to your original payment method within 5-7 working days from the date of confirmation. 

Note: Our exchange and returns policy is applicable exclusively for orders placed on our official website. For orders from other platforms, please refer to the respective instructions provided. Additional Information: For incorrect orders, we offer free exchanges or full refunds. A reverse shipping fee of ₹400/- applies for correct orders, deducted from the refund amount.

Exchange Process:

The exchange process may take 5-7 working days, considering pickup and delivery logistics. Refunds require a wait period of at least 3-5 days after the verification by our QC team. Important Notes: Photos of the received product from different angles are mandatory for color or product discrepancies. Exchange and return requests must be initiated within 5 days of delivery. Notifications regarding exchanges and returns will be sent via email and whatsapp message to the provided contact details. Please allow two business days for us to review your request.
